On Shooting Stars and Invisible Strings
This morning, while loading up my car to go to work, I saw a shooting star. It was a magical moment that left me feeling a sense of wonder. Even though I know we're at the tail end of the Leonids meteor shower, witnessing such a phenomenon always feels special and reminds me of the interconnectedness of life.
As I drove, I listened to Taylor Swift's song "Invisible String" and thought about the invisible threads that connect us to the past, present, and future. It reminded me of the last time I saw a shooting star. I was living in a small camper on the back of my family' property with my new husband as we saved for a down payment on a house. We were newlyweds, full of dreams for our future, but also feeling overwhelmed by the challenges of starting a new life together.
That night, under a sky illuminated by stars, we sat by a makeshift rocket stove, sharing our hopes and fears. The future we longed for felt both within reach and impossibly distant. The shooting star streaking across the sky became a symbol of hope, a reminder that even in the midst of uncertainty, there is always magic and possibility.
In that moment, I made a wish, a silent plea for everything to work out. And as I reflect on that memory now, I am filled with gratitude for the journey that brought me here. The invisible strings of fate, the shooting stars that guide our way, and the unwavering belief in the power of dreams.
Life is full of twists and turns, challenges and triumphs. But even in the darkest of times, there is always hope. Just like the shooting star that graced the sky this morning, may we always remember to look for the magic in every moment and believe in the invisible strings that connect us all.
